In the Canal Hearing Aid Specialists in St. Louis and Chesterfield

At Associated Hearing Professionals, we provide in the canal (ITC) hearing aids that can help you regain your hearing and improve your quality of life.

What Are In The Canal Hearing Aids?

ITC hearing aids are a medium-sized device that, as the name suggests, sit in the ear canal. Only a small portion of the hearing aid is visible, making this a discreet option for the wearer. At Associated Hearing Professionals, we will work to ensure the best fit possible every time by using an impression of your ear canal and the area around the canal to create a custom hearing aid. The lightweight plastic shell gives you added comfort.

The Benefits

One of the biggest advantages of ITC hearing aids is their size. They are smaller than in the ear (ITE) or behind the ear (BTE) styles and slightly larger than completely in canal (CIC) hearing aids. Their size makes them easier to insert and remove than CIC devices, but they are more discreet than ITE. They also are able to accommodate more features than the smaller models, including directional microphones, a volume control wheel, and push-button controls. Further, they can hold a larger battery than CIC styles, so the battery life is longer.

Are In The Canal Hearing Aids Right for You?

If you are suffering from mild to moderately severe hearing loss, and you are looking for a discreet option without sacrificing functionality, ITC hearing aids may be the perfect solution. ITC styles are ideal for people who have tried a CIC model and had trouble placing and removing the device.
